Distilled Water/NYC Tap Water for Sorbent Prep

Now that I’m more comfortable with the chloride sensor, I did a test on the chloride levels of 0.5M sodium carbonate solution with distilled water vs tap water, here’s the approximate results:

Distilled water: 53ppm Chloride
Tap water: 112ppm Chloride

It’d be nice to just use tap water, as it’s much cheaper and more convenient (it’s really annoying carry multiple gallons from the store up to my 3rd floor walkup) and that difference in ppm seems small enough that it won’t create issues for our sorbent prep to me. But what do you all think?
