Computer systems engineer - almost 20 years in corporate / business sustainability and corporate / public affairs. MBA focused on Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility, plus extensive experience working in strategic reporting and management consultancy, Supply (Value) Chain Management, stakeholder and partnerships strategy and engagement.
I’ve mostly worked in sustainability strategy development and implementation, either in-house or as an adviser with NGOs/NfPs, SMEs, public sector (national and international public and semi-public bodies), as we as well as with various major global brands and other Fortune Global 500 companies.
Since 2017, I have been specialising in climate finance and nature-based solutions. With an emphasis on CDR, and while working for EcoAct between London, Paris and Barcelona, I was involved in the first 2 blue carbon projects to issue credits in the world: mangroves restoration in Myanmar and seagrass protection and restoration in the western Mediterranean.
I am now one of the 3 co-founders of Blue Carbon Ireland, a for-profit environmental impact company with the purpose of building a thriving climate positive future. Headquartered in Galway, capital of the West of Ireland and gateway to the Atlantic Ocean, at Blue Carbon Ireland we galvanise the strengths, resources and interests of key stakeholders from across the 3 sectors, with the aim of harnessing the power of the marine environment to restore and build a just and sustainable future for all, while making commercial sense.
